B. M. M. - Degree Course is integrated three year course

OBJECTIVES :

1. To provide students with a firm grounding in studies related to various mass media through understanding society’s diverse cultural foundations and stimulate social responsibility,

2. To develop critical thinking, creativity and personal integrity.

3. To give the students an opportunity of combining theoretical curriculum with practical applications through detailed research, lucid writing skills, oral presentation skills and mastery of various mass communications media in a global informations age.

4. To offer the students with additional avenues in the job market, by giving them an opportunity of specializing in a variety of analytical and practical options in the communication industry.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

1) A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Bachelor of Mass Media shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts, or Commerce Stream.

2) Every Candidate admitted to the degree Course in the Constituent/affiliated College recognize institutions, Conduction the course. Shall have to register himself/herself with the University.

3) Students passing an examination equivalent to S. Y. J.C. of the Higher Secondary Board, Mumbai and Inter-Mediate (Arts/Science/Commerce) of University of Mumbai or from other states & immigrating from other Universities, Boards & seeking admission to the F. Y. of the Three Yea Integrated Degree Course will be admitted only on production of a Valid “Provisional Eligibilit Certificate” issued by the University of Mumbai for the current academic year and for the desired course. Such students should submit a migration certificate, statement of marks and passing certificate in original along with true copies within two months, from the date of admission failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled.

The course shall be a full-time course. The duration of the course is 3 years and each year consists of two Semesters. First year Bachelor of Mass Media consists of Semester I and II Second Year Bachelor of Mass Media consists of Semester III and IV : Third Year Bachelor of Mass Media consists of Semester V and VI : Number of students - a batch shall consist of not more than 60 students
