Library

College Library

The college library, located onthe 2nd floor, is a hub of knowledge and resources. It houses a wide collection of books, journals, and periodicals related to academic courses as well as those of general interest. In addition to a Reference Section, facilities are available for home issue of books.

General Rules

  • Students must carry a valid College Identity Card when entering the library.
  • Identity Cards and Reader’s Tickets are non-transferable.
  • Books and periodicals must be handled with care  damage or defacement will be treated as misconduct.
  • Duplicate Identity Cards or Reader’s Tickets can be issued if theoriginal is lost.

Study Room Rules

  • Silence and discipline must be strictly maintained.
  • Textbooks, reference books, and journals are issued against Identity Cards but cannot be taken outside.
  • For reference assistance, students should approach the Librarian/Assistant Librarian.

Home Issue Rules

  • Follow the instructions printed on the Reader’s Ticket.
  • Fines for late return of books: ₹2 per day (first week), ₹4 per day (after first week), Up to ₹10 per day (for serious default), Holidays are included while calculating fines. Only textbooks are issued for home reading.
  • Re-issue of books is subject to demand.
  • Rule violations will be reported to the Principal.

Special Facilities

Book Bank

  • A Book Bank Scheme is available for needy students. Contact the Librarian or membership details.

E-mail / Internet

  • Students and faculty can access international libraries and databases via the internet facility. For details, contact the Librarian.

Scholar’s Card

  • Issued to the top 10 students of each class.
  • Allows borrowing of 2 books instead of 1 for home reading.

Identity Card / Reader’s Ticket

Submit two stamp-size photographs with personal details (address, PIN code, phone number, date of birth) to obtain Reader’s Ticket.

Note: Students must regularly check the Library Notice Board for important updates.
